Identifying the Opportunity

Lectron is a Hong Kong-based manufacturer of EV charging adapters, portable charging cord sets, and residential charging stations. In late 2022, we were retained to lead a business development effort in the automotive OEM market. At the time, Lectron was successful in the aftermarket space but had no OEM automotive presence.

Building the Strategy

The opening of the Tesla charging network created immediate demand for EV charging adapters in the marketplace. Lectron knew the companies they wanted to work with, but they did not know how to navigate the OEM process, present their capabilities, and move through the buying cycle. We led that effort.

Creating New Growth Opportunities

We developed the strategy, positioned Lectron as a credible automotive supplier, and helped secure contracts with 9 different car manufacturers to produce EV charging adapters, including up to six products for both DC and AC charging applications.
