Our Story

CMP Group was founded in 1993 with a simple idea: companies grow faster and more sustainably when they have experienced, well-connected partners representing them in the field.

After years in executive leadership roles within the automotive industry, our founder saw that suppliers needed more than introductions. They needed a turn-key partner who understood OEM expectations, could build trust quickly, and could help navigate the challenges that come with complex programs.

From the beginning, we built our work around long-term partnerships, strategic insight, and flexibility. That approach has guided us through three decades of diverse engagements, from helping suppliers break into new OEM segments, to supporting ownership transitions, to guiding minority-owned businesses into meaningful positions with automotive customers.
